Q: How long does it take from the time I send my data entry envelope to you until my guests are added to my email list?
A: Approximately 2 weeks. It takes 5-7 business days for the envelope to travel through the U.S. mail, another two business days for data entry and finally, two business days for the data to be uploaded to your account.

Q: How do I order more data entry envelopes?
A: Select the List-Build tab and then click on the Supply Requests link. Here, you can order additional sign up slips and envelopes.
Q: Can I enter my guest’s email address myself?
A: Yes. Select the List-Build tab and then the Add Member link. You will first be asked for your guest’s email address. If that email address is not already on your list, you will be taken to the next page requesting additional information about your guest.

Q: What happens if a guest tries to sign up twice?
A: Your guest’s email address will only appear once on your email list; Fishbowl does not allow duplicate email addresses. For family members who share an email address, we suggest that they open up a free Hotmail, Yahoo, or GMail account so that they each will have their own distinct email addresses and can join.

Q: Who owns my list of email addresses?
A: You own the database that contains all of your guests’ information. Should you discontinue with Fishbowl, you may request your database and it will be provided to you within 31 days from date of termination and provided that you are paid in full. If you wish to receive a copy of your database while using Fishbowl, payment for your account must be current and you must sign a Database Release, confirming your understanding of the restrictions on the use of the database information.

Q: Why are only 145 of the 300 sign up slips sent to data entry showing up on my reports?
A: This may happen because some sign up slips may contain duplicate names or duplicate email addresses, which will be rejected by Fishbowl. Another reason may be illegible handwriting on a sign up slip.

Q: Can I sell the information on my email list?
A: No. The information your guest gives you (name, email address, and birth date) must be kept in the strictest confidence. That is the reason they gave it to you in the first place. (Plus your contract limits your use of it to the purpose it was given to you.)
